To be honest in the 2D&3D classes started I was still improving my research pages on the nurse maids in nineteen century. Therefore I first tried to use the drawing and pictures in my researchI found lots of photos about the nurse maids at that time and created the 3D silhouettes in class. In fact, the nurses remained the traditional impressions as I had met before such as the lamb sleeves and aprons. Therefore, when I was creating the silhouettes, I tried to make the outline more closer to those typical characteristics, and my personal aesthetics and understanding to make the folds with calicos and papers.

when I was creating draping, I tried to find the differences between the working suit for nurses in different hospitals. Moreover, some details in those nurses portrait photos could also give me the inspiration on creating draping.

When I was creating the 2D development, I tried to combine my researches with the draping as I did in IFS classes. However, I did not only create only the tops as before, after I looked others 2D developments I thought I need to be more courageous on developing.

After the developments, I redesigned them, at first I redesigned the whole silhouettes, but they were not so contemporary. Therefore, I took some interesting and unique part to design as garments. Because of so much folds I made, I realised that when the 3D works returned to 2D and the combination of lines, they would recomposed into the new details such as the pockets.
After I did some redesigns, I chose some of my favourite design and made them into illustrations.

There are the final illustrations I made. The layers and the structures will be more clear compare with the final illustration in IFS submission which use line to draw the shadow. Moreover, compared with the fashion illustration in term 1, I drew the outline with colour ink for the second time and the accomplishment would be higher.
